I did not seek to become a 'healer', but rather the Healer came to me...
About twenty-five years ago in Hawai‘i, an unexpected awakening began that set me on the path to energy healing. While meditating beside my sleeping wife, I would place my hand on her leg and feel waves of energy move through me and into her. Her body would tremble at the same moment the surge passed through. At first, I believed it to be coincidence or imagination, but the experiences kept returning until I could no longer ignore them. That was the beginning of a lifelong journey toward understanding how energy, light, and intention work together to heal.
As I began exploring this mystery, I asked myself whether I could intentionally recreate the inner state that allowed these experiences to happen. Over time, I accepted the idea that perhaps I was channeling Light. I didn’t yet understand what that truly meant, but I felt guided to learn more. My search led me into the study of mysticism, chakras, and energy fields. In 1999, I completed my first formal energy healing training, where I learned how to sense the human aura and the subtle layers that influence well-being. That training changed how I viewed life, health, and the divine intelligence that connects us all.
In upstate New York one night, during deep meditation in an old stone house, I encountered a dark, heavy energy. I felt fear rise, but also a presence urging me to channel Light toward it. When I did, the darkness transformed and dissolved. The house felt peaceful the next morning, as though something heavy had been lifted. Similar experiences began occurring elsewhere, and I came to realize that part of my calling was to clear dark or stagnant energy from homes, land, and people.
I built a simple one-page website offering help. My first request came from someone thousands of miles away. Guided by what I had learned about remote healing, I connected energetically to the person’s home using only a photograph. I felt the dark energy lift, and the next day the homeowner wrote to say the space felt lighter and peaceful. That was the moment I understood that energy transcends distance, and healing can occur remotely just as powerfully as in person.
As I continued my work, I recognized that dark or dense energy exists not only in spaces but also within people. Each of us accumulates emotional residue and energetic debris over time. By combining home and land clearing with personal energy alignment, I began helping individuals release what no longer serves them, restoring balance, harmony, and clarity within themselves and their environments.
This journey led to the creation of The Hopelight Healing Mission, a nonprofit organization established in 2012 in Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i. The mission was founded to hold this sacred work in a space of integrity, compassion, and light. Through the Hopelight Healing Mission, I continue to offer energy clearing, entity release, and spiritual guidance both locally on Kaua‘i and remotely to clients around the world.
What I have learned through these years is simple yet profound. I am not the healer. The Healer is the Light itself. My role is to step aside, to become the vessel through which healing energy flows, and to serve as a channel for divine peace and transformation wherever it is needed- within people, homes, and the Earth itself.
